The University of Connecticut Arboretum Campus Tree Guide Updated
The University of Connecticut Arboretum has updated and published the Third Edition of the Campus Tree Guide now available on our Website* For this edition we divided the walking tour into three loops of one hour each and picked a starting point that connects with the most visited places on the Storrs Campus: The Dairy Bar, the Student Union and Downtown/Storrs Center. Though our focus remains on our unique and notable trees, including Class Trees and Connecticut State Champion and Notable Trees, we included stops at more commonly known trees to reach a wider audience of tree enthusiasts. The Campus Tree Tour is available as a pdf in two sizes, the original tabloid version and a second letter size version formatted for home printers. The Campus Tree Guide is also shown on the online map and can be more easily viewed by turning off the All Standing Trees layers.
